This does not prevent FOLs from using them of course, but it does mean that you will not see it implemented in an official Lego set or display.

There is no official list to my knowledge but it is less an issue of aesthetics and propriety as it is about preserving the lifespan of the bricks and the playability of the builds.

The most frequent illegal technique demonstrated by FOLs involves the arms of a minifig. Officially, a minifig torso, with arms, and hands is a "product" of Lego. Each time you pop the hands out of the wrists or pop an arm off the torso you are damaging the figure. You might not notice it the first time, but each time you do it you are cutting down the "lifespan" of the parts. The joints will become loose and eventually will not even hold.

So, based on current Lego methods and technology, you will never see an official product where a severed hand is used or the arms are removed from the torso. This includes "dusters" and other jackets that FOLs use the shoulder sockets to attach to a figure.

There are also some methods of creating curved walls by stressing the brick. If Lego is kept in the stressed formation for a long period of time, it will loose its grip strength.

I hope that answers your question. After more than a year, they can't write half a paragraph on why it failed? I really feel b ad for the creators. They wait a year to get their project to 10,000, wait another year, ridiculously long amount of time, for the results of the review which are only supposed to take three months ony to find out for some reason which could be utterly capricious because we don't know the details, they failed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5619999239298383369.post-347631181523028722013-10-24T17:01:39.124-07:002013-10-24T17:01:39.124-07:00While they do not want to share with everybody the...While they do not want to share with everybody the reasons for a project rejection, I hope they will share them with the creator... after all the time the put into it, it seems to me they at least deserve that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5619999239298383369.post-55747962297617638582013-10-22T07:13:46.814-07:002013-10-22T07:13:46.814-07:00I'm a little torn on this one, I think it migh...I'm a little torn on this one, I think it might be a good idea, but I'm less sanguine about the proposed cutoffs, particularly the 100 at 90 days, since that takes a doubling of your support rate after 60 days to reach, I think perhaps 1 cutoff, perhaps 100 votes at 6 months might be good, along with a lowering of the 1000 vote "licence" check we've been seeing, that and a complete overhaul of the news feeds and the discover page, I'd like to see what my friends are voting for on the news, and what's new and updated on the discover page. Another option might be to require folks to "renew" their projects after every six months. iPaloosahttp://lego.cuusoo.com/profile/iPaloosanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5619999239298383369.post-44845958788732438452013-10-18T07:46:21.332-07:002013-10-18T07:46:21.332-07:00I had no idea of what FTL: the Game was until I ha...I had no idea of what FTL: the Game was until I happened onto the CUUSOO site. I didn't want my projects getting lost in it. If those rules were implemented today, every one of my projects would be retired. The "nose level" on Cuusoo seems to have gone substantially in the last half-year or so, with numerous sub-standard projects getting published.
