This pair of sabers has had a respectable journey to 10k.These sabers reflect the proud tradition of FOLs using LEGO to recreate, in life size detail, their favorite Sci-Fi and Fantasy props and are the first project in this vein to reach 10,000.
This is, in my opinion, the best shot to date for a Star Wars Ideas/Cuusoo project to become an actual product as it diverges greatly from LEGO's application of the liscense to date.
