NewsThe Land Rover Defender, thanks to a surge of support from LEGO fans and tweets from Land Rover getting their own fan base informed, has achieved the 10k support required to enter the Spring review.
This is by far the most technically complex build to achieve the 10,000 supporter mark.
Personally I love dynamic, complex builds so I would love to see this hit production.
The Official Comment for 10k does not reveal any new details about the project or Cuusoo, unlike the most recent Zelda did about new molds, but the design has not changed since the Official Comment at 5k which did have plenty to say:
"After seeing this in person at the LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark, we're even more impressed! However you know how huge and intricate your model is, and while it is a feat of engineering, the piece count and complexity would make it rather challenging to produce."
The implication is clear that Lego is doubtful about this project as presented. With previous projects, Lego has shown a flexibility in artistic reinterpretation to meet the goals of the projects, Lego standards, and the approval of the market. It will be very interesting to see if Lego will embrace the core concept that I think the project fans are looking for: a Land Rover Defender that pushes the boundaries of the Technic line, while modifying the design for marketability and producibility.
I will not be surprised if Lego turns this down for its complexity. If it does reach production I am sure many fans will be disappointed that it will not be the exact model that Sheepo has presented, but I will satified if Lego makes something a little more conservative in part count and complexity but still beyond the normal technical builds.
All that being said, for those that will only be satisfied by Sheepo's design, they have made the design available for a price.
Approaching 1k MilestoneNo projects have crossed the 1k support point this week. Additionally, even though The Adventures of Steamrod! is not in the top three under 1k, it is likely the next established project likely to achieve the milestone due to its high support rate.

Deadline ReviewThe next review is March 4th, 2013. That is 3 days from today so it looks like the Land Rover Defender will end out the projects for this review period.
Do you want to speed a project up?Projects can get to 10k much faster than what is shown here with active fan support. This link has many examples of how fans can help out their favorite projects.
Days to 10K
Not on the List? First, I tend to cut off projects after a certain day count, usually 10k. Additionally, I only monitor projects that have at least 200. Projects less than that are a little too volatile for proper assessment. Finally, I track several weeks worth of data to get these numbers, so you might not show up until your project has been post 200 for a few weeks.
